geert wilders trial censored censorshipGo, Pat, go!

Atheist comic and social commentator Pat Condell rightly calls to the carpet the Kangaroo Court in Amsterdam. These Dutch court jesters are trying popular populist politician Geert Wilders for telling the truth about Islam. Why isn't this Inquisitorial trampling of free speech, human rights and justice being widely reported in the media?

As Pat says, this man is a hero.  Indeed, Geert Wilders is a modern-day Galileo, and upon this trial may hang the fate of much of Europe. We ignore this situation at our own peril.

Why isn't major media reporting on Geert Wilders trial?

The judges have denied Wilders 15 of his 18 witnesses. They've also made sure that the trial will coincide with the election campaign making it as difficult as possible for Geert Wilder's to make his case to the people. A campaign that were it held today Geert Wilders would win.

    Europe's cultural inquisition begins:

    Geert Wilders: No fair trial

"The Amsterdam District Court apparently doesn’t want to hear the truth about Islam. Nor is it interested to hear the opinion of top class legal experts in the field of freedom of expression. In one swift move, the Court brushed aside fifteen of the eighteen expert-witnesses the defence had requested to be summoned.

Only Hans Jansen, Simon Admiraal and Wafa Sultan were allowed to be heard as expert-witnesses. Their testimony will be heard in a session behind closed doors. Apparently the truth about Islam must remain a secret.

Geert Wilders: "This Court is not interested in the truth. This Court doesn’t want me to have a fair trial. I can’t have any respect for this. This Court would not be out of place in a dictatorship".

The Court also brushed aside the preliminary objections concerning its jurisdiction and the admissibility of the Public Prosecutor.

Nevertheless, Geert Wilders remains extremely motivated to seek justice: "I’m still counting on an acquittal". "

LOL.....I was just about to link this video on your forum, and came here to find that you just put it up.

I agree with everything Pat says here. Islam is not a tolerant religon, and is much more invasive and dominating to others than Judaism or Christianity. If you think the air is "thin" in the Bible belt, you wouldn't be able to muster a breath in Saudi Arabia. The west needs to obey the wishes of its own citizens and stop allowing muslim immigration if it wants to remain free.

I think the elite in the West want to use Islamic acts of terror and violence as an excuse to implement a real police/surveillance state on its populaces. If terrorized enough, the populaces here will practically beg for a poice state to merely keep them safe. Acts of terrorism can also be used as justifications for more endless wars in the middle east for our oil companies and internationalist-globalist-hegemony-builders who'd like to dominate that part of the world. The average Westerner has much to lose from this cynical game.
  • Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide
Religion (all) is the root of terrorism--from the Roman Catholic crusades first called in 1095 by Urban II at Claremont, to the German nobility heading the call of Martin Luther (in his Address to the German Nobility) to murder all peasants in open rebellion and not entering his church, to the Thirty Years War, even to the pogroms of Adolf Hitler who always identified himself as a good Catholic (Adolf Hitler, from John Toland, Adolf Hitler, New York: Anchor Publishing, 1992, p. 507.) doing the work of "the Lord" (Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Ralph Mannheim, ed., New York: Mariner Books, 1999, pp. 65, 562; cf. Adolf Hitler, in a speech delivered at Munich, April 12, 1922; from Norman H. Baynes, ed., The Speeches of Adolf Hitler: April 1922-August 1939, Vol. 1, New York: Oxford University Press, 1942, pp. 19-20.).

Islam had the same fantasies and as much blood letting as the christians and their crusades. Check out : http://www.medievalists.net/tag/crusades/

The greatest threat today is Mormonism and their counterpart the Adventists. But that I will address soon.
  • Grady
It is terrible that his free speech is being repressed.

Are you also concerned about the free speech of Christians being repressed by the Officially Atheistic Government of Red China? This is affecting hundreds of thousands of people, but our government ignores it so they can make their trade deals.

I ask because I am wondering to what degree you support free speech for Christians, in these foreign nations.
  • Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide  - The christian religion exists in Mainland China
The Roman Catholic church has bishops in Bejing and other cities. Mormon missionaries are active there and in North Korea. Only when they try to separate their people from the general citizenry does the government intervene. As for the government appointing Roman Catholic bishops to sees in China--that action was long practiced throughout Europe with France and Germany even jockeying to appoint popes--leading to the "Babylonian Captivity" where the Papal Court was moved to Avignon. Protestant missionaries in China are among the most base, telling the young that their first allegiance is not to the state or even to their parents--defying not only thousands of years of Chinese culture and customs, but giving rise to family unrest. It is the claims of Christians that go beyond teaching their bible that the government of Mainland China has rightfully seen to go down heavily on. Try being a Mormon in Iran--religion has always looked for martyrs to justify its own stories--as seen in the fantasy of "Stephen the First Witness" in the Book of Acts--a fable that was plagiarized from ancient Greece.

China is scientifically advanced, and the absurdity of creation and a nonprovable god is of concern as they challenge logic, reality, science, and the advancement of the mind. Christianity is one fable after another--with Abraham (originally the god Brahama [put the last "a" in front of the "b";) being ordered to kill his son--antedating the christian god's demand that his own son be killed. From the Greeks we find Hercules transmogrified into Samson, we read the Babylonian fairy tales of Job and Daniel, and from a mixture of Babylon and Akkadian lore we get Ruth and Esther--while the erotic Song of Solomon comes out of Bedouin myths. There is not one passage in either Old or New Testament that cannot be traced to a far more ancient religion and its "holy book(s)". Unfortunately those proselytizing Christianity in China fail deliberately to admit it--and cry out when the state rejects their teachings as being unscientific and bad copying.

Christianity has long wanted to regain control over China--as it had before the Boxer rebellion--and, sadly, it might take another blood bath to drive these new apostles out of the land that once was in harmony.
  • Grady
Oh, I see you are limiting free speech on your site.

Figures. I love the atheist double standard. :)
  • Acharya S
Thank you. However, this is not an "atheist" site, and no one has limited your speech in any way.
  • Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide  - Islam and fantasy
Islam, discovered by Mohammad who wandered in the desert like Moses, spoke to the archangel Gabriel, and was later required to memorize the Qur'an that he passed on to Remembrancers is as great a fiction as Moses and Jesus. The infamous Qur'an does not appear in any physical format until 200 years after Mohammad allegedly died (after wedding and bedding 7 year old Aishia) and then the fragments of that scroll is scattered in various libraries which attempt to hide the fact that Allah was but one of the pagan gods of sex that was housed in the Black Stone at Mecca--and like Yahweh, an agricultural god that the ancient Apiru made marry the Canaanite goddess Asherah, was a demon and monster that lusted for blood, warfare and sex--so similar to Joshua and the whore of Jericho. To give credence to a religion that degrades women and executes homosexuals and those who refuse to marry, is to give justification to violence and ignorance. Most modern Muslims have no concept of what is in the original Qur'an (such as jihad is a spiritual cleansing, not suicide bombings, and the "70 virgins" actually reads "70 grapes"--a great luxury in a parched desert. Islam, like Christianity and Judaism, is a religion of hate. Not until all religions are erased from this planet and their "holy books" catalogued as fiction will any mortal be free.
  • Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide  - Free speech
Free speech requires responsibility. The Christian missionaries in China are casting aspersions not only on the state but on other religions and even on various sects in their religion. This is at best calumny and has no place in any society.

Christians resurrect ancient myths and do not give the original authors credit--thus Christian missionaries frequently preach about Jesus calming the storm at sea--yet fail to mention that this is taken directly out of Homer's Odyssey. Christians claim that "The Christ" turned water into wine and multiplied bread and fishes--yet do not note that "Christ" was a common word in Egypt by 300 BCE and was a term of a senior magi(cian) who had mastered the art of turning water into wine and multiplying bread and fishes.

Christianity has long been exposed as a myth and a lie--from claiming that all churches recognized Rome as the primary seat, yet it was the Emperor Constantine who called his warrior bishops to Nicea to set up the christian "church" (meaning a fortress) and at first accepted the definition of the priest Arius that Jesus was but a ghost--until there was a blood feud between the cults and sects. Christian missionaries carry their bibles and read liberally but not factually--citing Old Testamen Babylonian myths, such as Job and Daniel, or preaching the Ten Commandments that came out of Egypt (which has no record of any Jews being enslaved at any time--for archaeology shows that the pyramids were built by contract labor--for the contracters were buried near the pyramids.

To give equal time to Christian argument is foolish, as Christians do not give equal time to those who are not of their faith. Atheists are silenced and forbidden to hold public office in North Carolina, cannot teach in Texas if they openly state their disbelief. I have earned ten doctorates, including an STD (Doctor of Sacred Thelogy) and find Christianity to be as intollerant and mythological as Isam. Christians never practice what the preach and have no historical bases for their claims.
  • Jackson
That's right, Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide, Christians and Christianity are on absolutely no moral high ground here at all. In the US, atheists are still the most discriminated against minority and Christians don't seem to think much of democracy either.

    Study: Atheists Most Discriminated Minority

    Blatant Discrimination in the bible:

1 John 4:2-3 Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.

2 John 7: "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh..."

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God

Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, 'There is no god.' they are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none that does good.

    http://www.religioustolerance.org/intol_bibl3.htm

    (and many more)

Prejudice scripture like that produces modern comments like these:

"No, I don't know that Atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered as patriots. This is one nation under God."
    - George H.W. Bush, when he was candidate for president

"Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land - for Jesus Christ - to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect life & godliness. It is dominion we're after not just a voice. It is dominion we're after not just influence. It is dominion we're after not just equal time. It is dominion we're after. World conquest. That's what Christ has commissioned us to do."
    - George Grant - "changing of the guard" pg 50-51

"Our goal, as christians, is to dominate society"
    - Pat Robertson

"Christianity & Democracy are inevitably enemies"
    - R.J. Rushdoony "Independent Republic" pg 122, 1964

"The church should be a disciplined charging army Christians, like slaves & solders ask no questions. We are fighting a holy war"
    - Jerry Falwell

"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost. As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and institution of human society."
    - D. James Kennedy

Here is one of my favorite quotes of all time:

"I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
    - Historian Stephen Henry Roberts 1901-71
  • Terry McGovern  - Wilders and Israel
Wilders is backed by the Israeli State and its compliant media. His critique of Islam, though valid, is undermined by his comings and goings from the Israeli Embassy, which finances his anti-muslim position.

You can be sure that if he was critiquing Zionism, he would be dismissed as an "anti-semite" and languish in political obscurity.

Always dig a bit deeper on these anti-muslim issues. You'll often find the same 'hidden hand'...
  • Acharya S
Yes, I am quite aware of these various issues. The "hidden hand" doesn't seem to have much power in preventing Wilders from being tried as if he were a criminal.

I hardly think that he could undergo much worse if he were criticizing Judaism or Israel.

Criticizing Judaism and Israel will get you something worse than a constant death threat hanging over your head - which could be acted upon at any time - and a criminal trial in your own country?

Obviously, he would be far safer assailing Israel and Judaism than he is rightfully pointing out the truth about Islam.

Islam doesn't need a "Jew behind the rock" to make it look bad. It stinks to high heaven on its own.
  • dye  - The western Public needs to protest Islam just as
We all need to band together and protest Islam and the unfair treatment of Geert Wilders it is all we can do.I joined www.actforamerica.org hoping to make a difference
  • Sergei Bourachaga  - Geert's Trial
Dutch prosecutors should seriously consider putting The Koran on trial due to the fact that, in hundreds of mosques, during every Friday public sermons, hundreds of Muslim clerics incite hatred by relying on verses from Allah’s instructions to demonize and dehumanize Christian and Jews.

The following Koranic verses are often chanted during the beheading rituals we often see on radical Islamic websites. For the pious Muslim beheading his defenceless hostage, is an act of heroic proportion, because he is slaughtering the Devil incarnated in the human form of an Infidel.
“Satan has gained possession of The People of The Book (Jews and Christians) and caused them to forget Allah’s warnings. They are the confederates of Satan; Satan’s confederates shall assuredly be lost in hell. The Believers are the confederates of Allah (Hizbollah); and Allah’s confederates shall surely triumph”. Koran 58:19
“We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (Jews and Christians). They serve other Gods for whom no sanction has been revealed. Hell shall be their home; dismal indeed is the dwelling place of the evil-doers”. Koran 3:149
“Believers, do not make friends with any men other than your own people. They will spare no pains to corrupt you. They desire nothing but your ruin. Their hatred is clear from what they say, but more violent is the hatred which their breasts conceal”. Koran 3:117

Let us remember always: “The Mahommedan religion increases, instead of lessening, the fury of intolerance. It was originally propagated by the sword, and ever since, its votaries have been subject, above the people of all other creeds, to this form of madness [the madness of intolerance]." Sir Winston Churchill

  • Muqeem  - Geert Wilder, (17th century Doctrine) and Rate of
Geert Wilder stance is not new but it is revival of the ignorance of seventeenth century. Can you imagine hight of plurism in Islamic Society since and during the last 1000 years even in the Europe Jews and Muslims were persecuted in Spain but Muslims were protecting Jews in Turkey. Christians lived under the islamic rulers in Syria, Palestine Egypt . No forced conversion and demolishing or restriction on church building was imposed but even Govt were repairing ailing church buildings. Evidence is there after 1400 year of Muslim rule a significant number of Christian live in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt. They were never persecuted due to religion , obtained high position in the Courts.
I have strong and evident opinion that attitude and propaganda like Geert Wilder's will increase rate of conversion in every country in Europe. Higher will be resistant and propaganda higher will be conversion to Islam. European individuals are educated and free opinion makers. When any body see Islam from the window of comparative religion, he decides in favor of Islam.
  • Acharya S
Your comments are so ridiculous it's hard to know where to start.

    Quote:
When any body see Islam from the window of comparative religion, he decides in favor of Islam.

Absolutely false. No one in their right mind would ever choose the male-dominant cult of woman-enslavement called Islam.

Nobody with an ounce of innate morality would call a man who had sex with a 9-year-old girl a "holy prophet."
