Pakistan: Christian burned alive for refusing Islam

E-mail Print PDF

christians burned raped converting to islamOn March 19th, a Christian man in Pakistan was burned alive for not converting to Islam, while his wife was raped by police after complaining about the crime. The couple's small children were forced to "witness the torture inflicted upon their parents."

I don't like to keep bringing up such hideous things, which are "anecdotal," obviously, but I feel compelled, because there certainly is good reason to associate the "religion of peace" with hatred, violence and terrorism, as exemplified here once again.

My disgust at the human-hating and woman-enslavement of this fanaticism runs deep, and such atrocities obviously do nothing to mitigate that sentiment.

Pakistan: Punjab: Christian burned alive dies, Christian community calls for justice

Islamabad - Arshed Masih died last night in hospital from the serious injuries - burns covering 80% of his body – which the 38 year old Pakistani Christian suffered when he was set on fire because he refused to convert to Islam....

On March 19 a group of Islamic extremists burned alive Arshed Masih, a driver employed by a wealthy Muslim businessman in Rawalpindi. His wife worked as a maid in the same estate, situated in front of a police station. Recently disagreements had arisen between the employer, Sheikh Mohammad Sultan, and the couple because of their Christian faith. The couple had suffered threats and intimidation to force them to convert to Islam.

Arshed Masih (pictured) died last night at 7.45 local time after three days of agony and suffering at the Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, Punjab province. His wife Martha Arshed was raped by police when she sought to denounce the violence inflicted on her husband. The couple's three children - ages 7 to 12 years - were forced "to witness the torture inflicted on their parents."

After residing in the Middle East for 6 years, I can tell you that, when ever Islam comes into a country then terrorism will follow. It is truly a religion of hate & hurt others. Don't forget what the Taliban did in Afghanistan when they destroyed the Hindu statutes just because they weren't Muslims. They don't understand religious tolerance.

What nationalism is to us, Islam is to them & they are more than pleased to kill those who do not convert. Even the moderate Muslims still give money to the mosques knowing the money is going somewhere in the world to force others to become Muslims.

    FYI,
Islam is a relgion of peace. Those who use violent ways to express the religion of Islam are doing the wrong thing. They are usually extremists who missed a very substantial part of the religion:
to respect others' religions, and to spread Islam by peace.

Before you put up a comment like this, please take the time to actually open and read the Quran, and understand it to the fullest.
There are thousands and thousands of websites with false information, but any Quran you will ever find will be the same as any other one, and each and everyone of them will contain anything and everything about the religion.
  • Acharya S
FYI, no, Islam is NOT a religion of peace, and it never has been. Those who are committing violent jihad against non-Muslims and other Muslim "heretics" are the most devout Muslims, as this is precisely the example set by Mohammed.

Yes, indeed, please read the Koran.

    Quran Quotes

In the meantime, please do not waste our time here with lectures about how Islam is a "religion of peace," as we are far too educated to accept such a falsehood. Islam's body count of some 270 million people states otherwise.

Before you come back trying to argue with us here, perhaps you should go inform the millions of jihadis worldwide that they've got it all wrong. I'm sure they will appreciate your remarks.

I'd call this misleading propaganda to make Islam look very bad. Here's why:
    1. Islam never teach to force Islam believe to other. As matter of fact, God says to Mohammed, more or less, that his duty is only to spread the message, not to make them believe. Whether ppl will believe or not is on God's will
    2. Raping? We are forbidden to do adultery, more over raping.
So if they are muslim doing this kind of crime, then he/she is definitely NOT a muslim at all. Perhaps ppl pretending to be a muslim, or ppl who Islam put on their ID, but dont know jack about Islam.

If you're looking for the real teror, look at what zionist in Gaza Strip early in this year. The media are covering the slaughter with authentic VIDEO!!

Such incidents as these are horrible and repellent to any person of good will. The fact that they are part of "religious" dogma makes them doubly atrocious.
Such barbarism is not restricted to middle-eastern countries. Many incidents of rape and assault are reported daily in Europe and even the U.S. One can't help but wonder when the anger of the victim's families and neighbors will become action since "authorities" are obviously unwilling to take steps to prevent or eliminate this mindset.

Of course there are going to be some people that will say.."but, they weren't real muslims".. And christians do the same, but I would argue that they are the real muslims and christians doing exactly what their "good book's" says to do. Passage after passage is filled with "kill the infidel" or has some terrifying special place for them.

I would argue that the ones who aren't killing in the name of whatever religion, are not "true" {incert whatever religion here} and that they do not know what their god really wants, cuz they have not grasped what the "good book" really has to say. Maybe their comprehension skills are underdeveloped??? Maybe they do not have the patience to get through all those long boring begots??? Who knows?? BUT, the one thing I do know, is that the quran/bible is full of demands of war, raping and killing and that is exactly what goes on wherever their religion is allowed to flurish.

  • Janusz E. Starkel
All religions are bad. If you want to believe in what bible said, God it is the biggest mass murderer in human history(flood and others), but religious people still like him. In religion point of view - if you can not solve the problem destroy it.

I'm a Christian, my family is Christian and from Pakistan, Islamabad. Everyone knows we are Christians in our area, we have a Church which is 150 years old and I have never been told to convert to Islam, most Muslims are not religious just as I'm not. Nobody cares, this was probably some village and somebody had a beef that turned into this person getting killed, it happens all the time all over the world.
  • Acharya S
That's great to know - except it's also hard to believe that this is just some small-village, isolated incident. The fact is that there are many of the same barbaric "backwoods" Pakistanis roaming the streets of too many foreign lands who would just as easily do the same thing not only to a couple of people but also to millions, if they got a chance.

Unfortunately, this incident has not been and will not be in the future an isolated event.

Shame on Islam. Muslims are Shaming Islam. Shame on Islam for the hate murder, intollerance, and prejudice the Quran allows for muslims.

<img src=hock:' title='' class='postemoticon' /> Bokertov ! We of the Jewish faith never burn people ! Why ; in the past , sure we stoned them, but burn ? Goy dogs ! I detest forcing religion on anyone and as a Rabbi i think as flock leader , as a flock leader ! But still it's called that ! Stoning is more merciful ; not so painful and the right judgment for non belief and those who will not wear the Yarmulke !Those who work all week and those who wear bells !Muzzletov !

Is Islam really a religion of peace? read the book of Quran (Any translation will do Surah 4:89 "Those who rreject Islam must be killed. If they turn back, take them and kill them whenever you find them.

Surah 47:4 - So, when you meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly

try to compare it with the teaching of Jesus in the New Testament Bible You have heard that it was said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy."
Jesus said But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:43-44).

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28). ...

According to Jesus the father of those who kill : read, John 8:44-45

    King James Version (KJV)

44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

JESUS is the way, the truth and the life no one can come to the father the true GOD (YAWEH) and not Allah except through JESUS alone JOHN 14:6

this is not pushing a particular religion, but introducing a new relationship with JESUS; if you want true peace of heart and mind talk to JESUS privately in prayer; come on put down you pride just talk to JESUS tell him your true situations because he cares for you

Acharya, you are wrong! Islam IS a religion of peace – and it always has been! It is very simple. Just kill all of the non-believers – and then you have peace!
If you write Satanic Verses – you just might get a death threat. If you name a Teddy Bear Mohammad – you just might get a death threat. If you do a cartoon of Mohammad – you just might get a death threat. So don't you dare criticize anything Islamic – you could be in deep trouble.
If you are a Muslim in one of several Muslim cities and you see that two airliners have crashed into the World Trade Center – "Clearly my brothers the attack on America has begun and it is a moment for rejoicing and celebration".
It is also a mission of Islam to convert the world to Islam. Like "Come and join us and accept Allah as we do" (and if you reject our invitation, we just might kill you). Islam likes to convert others by the sword, but since the Arabs got their pants beat off of them in the 6-day war in 1967, they moved into their second strategy – which is to infiltrate a country – establish communities – breed excessively – and then gradually take over. Once a religious majority has been attained, the process of converting the democracy to a theocracy can proceed.
