UPDATE: This person is clearly Australian, but he claims to be a traveler and could certainly be living in Tokyo, obviously. However, some are saying he's a scammer. To what end, one can only guess - perhaps he's an anti-nukes activist or just trying to get a viral video?
If it's real, this very recent video out of Tokyo is absolutely heartbreaking. This man claims to have gotten rained on, and his skin is supposedly now breaking out. Weeping, he says, "Thank you, General Electric, for the primitive f**king technology you've produced..."
He's right about a couple of things: The Japanese are very nice people, and they are suffering a horrible blow. He's also right that we could do without nuclear technology. I say that as someone who was 25 miles downwind of Three Mile Island.

|2011-03-28 22:53:39 4Yahshua - Our Prayers are For You!Thank you for letting us know your plight! We are so sad for you and your Japan!Try to take charcoal capsules to help rid your body of radiation! Large doses of VitC will help, too! Drink LOTS of good water which dispels rations. We are near the beach in Southern CA. Rainwater in Mass. now has traces of Japan's radiation! Be sealed in the Names of the Father and Son (Yahweh and Yahshua) and you, too, will survive all of these trials. Revelation 14:1 Yahshua is coming SOON and no NWO can stop Him! HalleluYah!

But what's his gig with the plucked eyebrows and the BS hysterics and did he change out of his kimono to make this vid?

|2011-03-29 14:03:08 Bunkyo - SeinThe official water check from the Tokyo government on March 29 says the amount of radioactive iodine (Iodine-131) is zero. I went out in the same Tokyo rain, got wet, feel fine, no skin changes...nothing. I feel sorry for the guy and I don't think he's lying, but I also don't think this is a true representation of the situation here in Tokyo. People are concerned, not panicked. The amount of radiation in Tokyo has never been close to the limit for adults, and only over the limit for children for a short period of time. If a person is over 40, they have almost zero to worry about even in the worse case. Children and pregnant women, of course, may have something to worry about. But if we believe what the government says, then no one is seriously at risk, which explains the way the Japanese are behaving--concerned but calm. If the government is lying, well then...but the backlash of lying at this time would be enormous. For now, I think were okay here in Tokyo. I'm not so sure about tomorrow...

|2011-03-29 18:34:39 Buster Knuhts - HeartfeltI believe this gentleman is being truthful. For those who think he's scamming this tragedy, I say he's a better actor than Brando. If he were trying to break into Hollywood his name would be plastered on the screen.
If the USA were smart, they would import as many Japanese as we could. Give them Detroit. They would turn that hell-hole around in two years. Dittos for Galveston. Of course, that will never happen because the demorat party only allows turd world uneducated dependent on the government types to move here. They vote for their handouts. I bet you would have a hard time finding a Japanese on the welfare rolls in the U.S.
Regarding trusting your government in Japan, I'm starting to think they sound alot like BP did last year concerning the oil "spill."
Lastly, I would even welcome the Yakuza. I bet they would kick the gangs we have here now into next year. Blessings, Sir.

|2011-03-31 02:48:38 NeecHMonkeY - WTF!?!I'm an Aussie living in Tokyo, Japan and I have decided to stay here. There is no mass evacuation, no panic in the streets, etc. If anything, life has gotten back to the boring, everyday normality that it was before the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. We had some shortages about 2 weeks back due to people panic buying groceries but everything was replaced in a few days.
There seems to be a common misconception and a lack of education about radiation and it's effect on your health. The small amount that has reached Tokyo is less than a patient would receive through chemo-therapy. The people who left and flew back to their home countries actually received more of a radiation dose from the flight than they would have had they stayed in Tokyo.
Please don't fall prey to the fear-mongering of this video. This man is either severely uneducated as to what is actually happening or he is simply trying to incite panic and misplaced sympathy.
If someone deserves your sympathy and help, it is the people of Sendai, Miyagi, Fukushima and the other coastal areas of North-East Japan. Many there are still suffering through a loss of home and livelihood.
