A megabomb of lunacy from the Indian segment of the asylum:

'Clean up your website': Indian court orders Facebook and Google to remove 'anti-religious' content

Social websites including Google and Facebook have been ordered by an Indian court to remove all 'anti-religious' and 'anti-social' content within six weeks.

On Saturday a Delhi Court ordered 22 social networking sites, including Yahoo and Microsoft, to wipe the objectionable and defamatory contents and file compliance reports by February 6, 2012.

Additional Civil Judge Mukesh Kumar passed the order on a suit filed by Mufti Aijaz Arshad Qasmi seeking to restrain the websites from circulating objectionable and defamatory contents.

Qasmi had objected to a number of images on the websites which he complained would cause 'irreparable loss and injury to the people who are offended by them'.

He argued that some of the images defamed Hindu gods, Prophet Mohammed and other religious figures...

The Hindu Times reported Facebook India, Facebook, Google India Pvt Ltd, Google Orkut, Youtube, Blogspot, Microsoft India Pvt Ltd, Microsoft, Zombie Time, Exboii, Boardreader, IMC India, My Lot, Shyni Blog and Topix were all given the order....

Of course, it's a MUSLIM fanatic who filed this lawsuit, trying to impose Islamic/sharia law on the rest of us. That's Islamic supremacy. (But only wacky rightwingers would be concerned about having the same thing happen in the U.S. and other Westernized nations.) You can be sure he cares not one whit whether or not remarks offensive to Hinduism are removed - he's just thrown that in to make it appear as if he's not only concerned about Islam.

Unfortunately for Islamists, much Islamic doctrine goes against MY religion. Hence, I demand that all offensive Islamic doctrine be removed forthwith from not just these websites but all websites across the internet. That removal of things offensive to my religion would include the passages from the Koran highlighted in my page of quotes from Islam. Ditto with Judaism, Christianity and the rest of the intolerant religious sects and misogynistic cults.

In that case, I'm all for it, if everything that goes against MY religion is removed:

Please respect my religion!

Pretty much proving the importance of my essay - and my forthcoming video of same. (Yes, I'm busily working on a video - my first solo! - of this essay. I've got the draft done already, but it will take some time to make it perfect.)

So some fanatical idiot is trying to censor the internet?
Something tells me he won't have much luck.

Megabomb of lunacy from the Indian segment of the asylum...!

The human race is a race about who's the most insane of them all, why should we Indians not be a part of the race!

This announcement by the wise Indian leadership is a wonderful recent step in this direction!

Certainly a laudable feather in the cap of Indian lunacy!

Now you know what it feels like to have bigots at the helm of public access to information that the bigots don't want people to know about. And guess again if you think it's just fundie religionists doing the fascist censorship. Acharya is right up there with them as she and her cronies at Bookmark censor and ban this Gnostic Christian's posts for no other reason than they're being the posted opinions of a theistic believe in God. You all may recall what happened to free speech when atheists were at the helm of over a billion peoples. I still cannot post on Archarya's Yahoo group and it took having different isp address in order for this comment to post here. And I won't be surprised if it's deleted as censorship is not limited to theists but is characteristic of every group whose ideologies cannot withstand public scrutiny.

Stephen, if you're posts aren't going through it's probably because they have rules - the same rules as anywhere else. No name-calling, insults, harassment, proselytizing, trolling or antagonizing off-topic rants either.
  • swami_beyondananda  - Maybe we should hack all religious sites!! Haha!!
I have an idea. We should hack all religious sites of all religions, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism , Sikhism, Shintoism, Zorastrianism and maybe replace the figures of Gods (male He-Gods) of all religions or as in islam ( since imagery is forbidden), replace the hateful dictates of Allah with sumptuous, bountiful images of beautiful, bountiful, benign Goddesses from Hindu, Tibetan Buddhist, Greek, Roman , Egyptian, Nordic, Teutonic, Baltic, Celtic, Mesopotamian, Sumerian, African, Chinese, Japanese, African, pre-Judaic Hebrew Goddesses and images of famous female pagans, agnostics and atheists!!!

Mission accomplished. Finally, we would succeed in eliminating the concept of a domineering male god for good which has been the scourge of human civilization for millenia!!

    Sincerely,
    Da witty, Swami Beyondananda

What an excellent idea. I like the way you think. :)

The following is an interesting article in the Economist on Muslims and the Koran.

    http://www.economist.com/node/21542162

An interesting take but I don't buy it. The author is trying to promote a 'liberal, tolerant" version of Islam.

The comments are also worth reading.

My rwaction to this article is

Well,in that case all the Korans should be forbidden for hate crime since:

In Chapter 5:14 Christians are cursed by Allah till "the Day of Resurrection"

And in Chapter 5:64 Jews are cursed by Allah"till the Day of Resurrection".

Hey,after all if the Hindu books or the Bible said:

"All black, brown people are cursed "till the End of the World" then others would say it is a hate book, bigoted, racist."

Read all that and more here:

Acharya S, brought the voice of reason and a 'sound mind' back into my life after 30 years of being sucked into the obnoxious mind trap of religion and spirituality. Without the voice of Acharya S, freethoughtnation and truthbeknown, the world will remain insane.
  • Pray Hard  - I'm pretty sure ...
the world will remain insane, but A is certainly a quasar when it comes to bright lights ...

Beside poisoning everything, religion is neurosis. It's had a free ride for thousands of years and it still isn't enough. Give it all the ridicule you can muster.

"Your scholarship is relentless! ...the research conducted by D.M. Murdock concerning the myth of Jesus Christ is certainly both valuable and worthy of consideration." —Dr. Kenneth L. Feder, Professor of Archaeology, Central Connecticut State University, Frauds, Myths, and Mysteries: Science and Pseudoscience In Archaeology

"I can recommend your work whole-heartedly!" —Dr. Robert Eisenman, James the Brother of Jesus and The New Testament Code, RobertEisenman.com

Schoch, Professor of Natural Science College of General Studies at Boston University; Author, Pyramid Quest, Voyages of the Pyramid Builders and Voices of the Rocks

Murdock's Who Was Jesus? had been available to me." —Bob Semes, Retired university professor of History and Religion, Founder and Executive Director of The Jefferson Center

"In addition to presenting in Suns of God the troubling history of religious wars in an easily followed narrative, Acharya goes a step further, explaining as only she can how a once-simplistic idea has been carried into our modern world with terrible and nearly unimaginable results." —Rev. Dr. W. Sumner Davis, Fellow, Royal Astronomical Society; Member, American Geophysical Union; Affiliate, New York Academy of Science

"Ms. Murdock is one of only a tiny number of scholars with the richly diverse academic background (and the necessary courage) to adequately address the question of whether Jesus Christ truly existed as a walking-talking figure in first-century Palestine." —David Mills, Atheist Universe

"Thank you, Acharya, for the important work you are doing. Who Was Jesus? Fingerprints of the Christ just might be the best short introduction to Biblical scholarship yet." —David Bergland, 1984 Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate, Libertarianism In One Lesson
