I show how an understanding of the underlying nature and origin of mathematics explains a lot.

My latest blog entry more about religion. This is a theory of fear.

I've updated my gospel of truth,

"Interpolating here(I've interpolated my own text many times now!). I've now found evidence in Plato's Republic(again! Plato's Republic is turning into one of the major evidences of the Christian conspiracy!). Socrates through Plato apparently argued that the god passages in Homer sound suspiciously made up!(Plato Republic, Book 2, 377D-E, 378A.) Socrates then further argued that to make the passages legit, one should allegorize(this seems weird; why allegorizing makes things more legit? This too me goes back to the fact as Plato stressed about the nature of mathematics, that all knowledge whether mathematics or poetry is analogy). The Socrates passage through Plato is Republic, Book 2, 380A-B"

A major point that I've been trying to communicate is that both mathematics and mythology are analogies; one is constructive and the other is vague. Above, we see that Socrates and Plato started the allegorization of Homer passages to make them legit. They did so because of some rather weird reasons - that of the suspicion that the Homer gods were not real gods. Because of the power of analogy displayed by mathematics, analogy seemed the way to make the gods legit. This shows how people due to social forces refuse to put away vague concepts because of fear.

Acharya has shown the sungod origins of Jesus Christ and other sungods. But, to eliminate the backlash, she has argued for many gods. And this view gives color to the universe whereas science does not. I've posted above, where's the responces? There are none. Why not? Because it means stopping a mental and emotional inertia; it means opening yourself to the social fear that is. It means learning. Just like how the Plato influenced the creation of the Jesus Christ myth because he chose to allegorize the homer gods instead of just flat out saying there is no god, Acharya and her fans have found an avenue to retreat from the full implications of the truth.

The full implications of what "truth?"

That there is no God or Gods?

The Gods are mainly personifications of nature. That means that they aren't literally "Gods" at all. They are the sun, or the moon, or some planets, or elements, etc. etc. That is stated very clearly in a number of works. Are these things really Gods? Of course not. So I'm not sure what this strawman fallacy rant of yours is addressed to in the first place.

Because it slipped through the cracks. I for one had never even seen this thread until now. So don't be so quick on the draw to accuse folks of fear for simply not seeing your thread. I mean no disrespect by saying this, but your last post comes across as though you're hyping up your blog as being more popular than it actually is, as though it's such a big thing how could it possibly escape our notice and so since we didn't reply it's not because we didn't see it, but because we're afraid.

If that's not what you meant, then I apologize in advance.

I'm kinda with Tat on this one, I'm not sure how you can make that assessment of us if you really knew us regulars on this forum.

I for one have always been quite unambiguous about my atheism here, and I know others such as Tat, Free, & Robert, etc. all have as well. And so I'll go ahead and flat out say it, there is no god.

Except for myself, of course.
