Several representatives from the Malaysian government, such as Minister Idris Jala, a Christian, are visiting the Christian communities in Malaysia, trying to convince Christian citizens to abandon the term "Allah" and use "Yahweh" in the texts in the liturgy and in publications.
The intent is part of the ongoing dispute between the Christian and Muslim communities, which began in recent months with a lawsuit involving the Catholic newspaper “The Herald.” With the sentence of December 31, 2009, the High Court of Justice upheld the right of "The Herald" to use the word "Allah" to refer to God. The term "Allah" is, in fact, the only existing word in the Bahasha Malaysia language used to refer to God.
The Christian community does not currently seem willing to accept the proposal of using the Hebrew word "Yahweh." Reverend Thomas Philips, a Christian leader of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Taoism, an organization involved in interreligious dialogue.
"The faithful will continue to use the word Allah," said Philips. "It is a sacred right that affects the freedom of expression. Every person who speaks a language has the right to use all the words of that language, without charges or limitations. The issue will be discussed in the Interreligious Committee formed by the government. We are working with the spirit of understanding to find just solutions to matters affecting the religious sphere. This also applies to the controversy over the use of the word Allah. We are confident that a common solution can be reached for the good of the nation and people of all faiths."
Very tolerant. We intolerant Americans can only aspire to such an example of tolerance.
But thank you for essentially showing that "Allah" is a different character from the biblical god, although Muslim apologists argue to the contrary. Allah is in reality an Arab tribal moon god, while Yahweh is a Jewish tribal soli-lunar god.

Although I'm certainly in favor of giving neighbors the choice of whether or not they want a house of worship nearby - especially with loud, obnoxious "calls to prayer" day and night - in this instance, the law appears to have been devised in order to prevent non-Muslims from having their own gathering places.
This law in Indonesia, therefore, represents infidelophobia.

An Algerian court on Tuesday acquitted two Christian men of eating during Ramadan in spite of a prosecutor’s demand that they be punished for "insulting Islam."
Authorities arrested Salem Fellak and Hocine Hocini on Aug. 12 for eating lunch on a private construction site where they were working. Ramadan, Islam's month of fasting during daylight hours, started this year on Aug. 11.
Never mind that the mere existence of Islam is an insult to any decent person.
The next example: Forcing people to flee their homes in fear merely for talking about a religion other than Islam is infidelophobia.
Authorities in the Maldives last week had to transport a Christian teacher from India off one of the Islamic nation's islands after Muslim parents of her students threatened to expel her for "preaching Christianity."
On Wednesday night a group of angry Muslim parents stormed the government school on the island of Foakaindhoo, in Shaviyani Atoll, accusing Geethamma George of drawing a cross in her class, a source at Foakaindhoo School told Compass.
"There were only 10 teachers to defend Geethamma George when a huge crowd gathered outside the school," the source said by telephone. "Numerous local residents of the island also joined the parents' protest."
The school administration promptly sought the help of officials from the education ministry.
"Fearing that the teacher would be physically attacked, the officials took her out of the island right away," the source said. "She will never be able to come back to the island, and nor is she willing to do so. She will be given a job in another island....
The next one: Firing people for discussing a religion other than Islam is infidelophobia. Certainly, a case could be made here that this man violated the separation of church and state, but in consideration of the fact that public schools in Dearbornistan are now largely Islamized, one must wonder if the firing was not based on sharia law, as embodied in the laws of the Maldives in the above example.
A wrestling coach who claimed he lost his job at a suburban Detroit high school because of his Christian beliefs has settled the lawsuit for $24,500.
Gerald Marszalek also received $500 from Dearborn Public Schools in June in exchange for waiving any claim of age discrimination. The details were obtained by The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act.
The 65-year-old Marszalek was wrestling coach at Fordson High School, where Muslim students are a majority. He says his troubles with the principal began when a volunteer assistant introduced some wrestlers to Christianity.
Marszalek's contract wasn't renewed in 2008 after 35 years.
Dearborn schools admitted no liability. The district says it settled to eliminate the cost of litigation. Marszalek sued in 2009.

"PARIS — The US warning that stirred public panic in Europe over a possible Al-Qaeda attack at tourist hotspots has given a sense of victory to Islamist extremist networks, intelligence experts said.
Even though the threat of terror strikes should not be underestimated -- it is a real, ongoing threat -- warnings such as the recent US travel advisory of a high risk of an attack in Europe make for frightening headlines and television news broadcasts.
As ominous images of soldiers in combat gear in Paris patrolling at the foot of the Eiffel Tower flickered across TV screens around the world, experts said it must have delighted the jihadist leaders to see the West gripped with fear.
"All this free publicity is like manna from heaven for Al-Qaeda," said Alain Chouet, former head of security information at the French DGSE intelligence agency.
Chouet noted that one of the suspected sources of the recent terror alert was a German prisoner of Afghan origin being held at the US military base in Bagram, Afghanistan.
"Al-Qaeda does not even have to do anything, all it needs is a prisoner somewhere" to stir things up, he said.
"You cannot verify what he (prisoner) says, and if someone puts a grenade in a garbage bin somewhere in Europe, he can always say: 'See, I warned you'," Chouet said.
Another expert, Richard Barrett, head of the team monitoring Al-Qaeda and Taliban activities at the United Nations, also questioned the reliability of such sources.
"If this guy in Afghanistan is talking, there is not any way they can verify what he is saying and he may be telling them what they want to hear," said Barrett.
"They want to hear that they stopped something serious.
"For Al-Qaeda, it's a very effective thing to have this story go around," added Barrett, who was formerly in charge of counter-terrorism at Britain's MI6 intelligence agency.
"They got the world's attention, that's what they want. Their business is terrorizing, not killing. They are not stupid. They can achieve a lot with nothing."
The two former spy chiefs said that you had to be on guard against manipulation when dealing with such extremist groups -- and that could take many forms.
Some jihad extremist networks for example, knowing Western spys are listening to their phone conversations, would deliberately steer investigations in false directions.
Or fake information might be given to European would-be jihadists at training camps in Pakistan: so if they got captured back in France or Germany they would reveal stories of devastating, though false, plans of attacks.
And then there are politicians in the West who are tempted to play to people's fears for their own electoral or other ambitions.
"That is somewhat in evidence in the manoeuvre by some American neo-conservatives to accuse President Barack Obama of being weak in the face of terrorism on the eve of mid-term elections in the United States," Chouet said.
For Magnus Ranstorp, a research director at Sweden's national defence college, the West needs to beware of politicising terror warnings, which should not be facilely issued.
"These warnings should be a last resort. What we have now is that the threat, as it has taken on its own life, has become politicised and it's a very negative thing," he said.
"If nothing happens, the governments that have issued warnings will have to explain what happened. If they have these kinds of warning too often, it's not going to be good."
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Saudi police raided a secret Catholic mass in Riyadh last week and arrested a dozen Filipinos and a Catholic priest, charging them with prosyletising, a local daily reported on Wednesday.
The raid took place as some 150 Filipinos were attending the mass in a Riyadh rest house on Friday, the second day of the weekend in Saudi Arabia, Arab News said.
The twelve Filipino men and the priest, whose nationality was not specified, were "charged with prosyletising," the daily quoted an official from the Philippine embassy in Riyadh as saying....

I think every time a religious structure like this is demolished, then that action should be reciprocated by the demolition of a mosque in the US or UK. Maybe they need a little in the way of consequences for their actions delivered in a dish best served cold.
I think the fact that Buddhists aren't going around blowing up Muslim mosques is proof enough who is the more tolerant religion. The sooner the Taliban have their asses handed to them the better. I understand the war in Afghanistan isn't an easy one given the objectives but I think it differs greatly to the past wars they have had. They claim to be the country that breaks empires well they are barking up the wrong tree, the US or UK are not empires by any standards they are only perceived as empires byt backward thinking savages. And we technically are not or should not be there out of conquest but of "liberation" in the truest sense. The attacks on young girls and women who want to be educated via the most heinous and brutal means is an indication that educated women, are the greatest fear of these misogynistic bastards.

These quotes go hand in hand with the following video regarding what Muslim hordes have done to India for the past 1,000+ years. To say that this episode in history is an appalling disgrace would be an understatement. The Muslim rape of India constitutes an atrocity that shows the depth of evil achieved by the Islamic cultus, including near obliteration of the Indian nation's long and venerable history. This horrendous millennium-long episode should serve as an illustration of what happens wherever Islam reigns freely, including genocide and mass rape, as well as near-total annihilation of cultural artifacts such as monuments, records, art and so on.
Naturally, in continuing this abuse of Indians, Oak's well-considered and well-documented work is dismissed as "crackpot" by the mainstream upholders of historical propaganda.

How was it, I thought, that the Hindus, who had ruled India for at least 3,000 years from the Pandavas to Prithviraj, did not have even a single monument to their credit? (2)
Could it be then, I thought, that what are believed to be Saracen-built Indian-style monuments are in fact our own ancient and medieval Hindu, Rajput, Kshatriya-built mansions—temples, forts, palaces—which were conquered and occupied by Saracen invades, and then converted into tombs and mosques. (5)
Besides, not a single scrap of paper or record exists to show that even a single tomb, fort or mosque was ever commissioned by a single Saracen chief or rule. There are no design drawings, no correspondence or orders relating to acquisition of the site or the commissioning of the building, no bills and no receipts for the material supplied or services ordered. (6)
Since a building has been evidently in use for centuries as a tomb or a mosque they had presumed that the building was originally commissioned for that purpose. (7)
Continuing my research through actual visits to historic sites, and browsing through histories, I have been able to gather considerable evidence to prove that all prominent mediaeval monuments in India, from the Nishat and Shalimar in Kashmir to the Whispering Gallery in Bijapur are pre-Islamic Rajput constructions. (7)
I wish to alert historians that they should not try to connect the inscriptions on monuments with the origin of the monuments where there is no clearcut, independent corroborative evidence to that effect. Vincent Smith is right when he observes in his book “Akbar the Great Mogul” that Akbar had an army of stone cutters ready to engrave any lettering he liked on captured monuments…. (8)
Firstly, they themselves have been guilty of having ascribed the various mediaeval monuments to different Muslim sultans and emperors on mere hearsay without any documentary proof such as wage-bills, blueprints and day-to-day expense accounts. At times they have had the flimsy support of a few sly statements in the memoirs of Muslim rulers and chronicles of mediaeval Muslim writers, mostly employed by the rulers themselves. (13)
Previous Rajput records were all burnt by the Muslim rulers in their fanatic wrath and also with a view to claim ownership and authorship of the buildings themselves. (16)
All the monuments [in Delhi] belong to the pre-Muslim era and were built by Delhi’s pre-Muslim Kshatriya rulers. Even the tombs and mausoleums which shelter the graves of Muslim rulers and saints are previous Hindu palaces and temples turned into sepulchres. (17)
In fact, the monuments that have survived to our own times are but a fraction of the immense architectural wealth that existed in Indian when Muslim invasions started. In fact, the abundance of such palatial mansions and temples was itself one of the greatest attractions to the invaders. (17)
A strange thing to be noticed about Delhi’s numerous monuments is that there are ever so many tombs and mausoleums without corresponding palaces. (22)
About the Kutub Minar itself there is overwhelming proof that it was a Hindu tower existing hundreds of years before Kutubuddin and therefore it is wrong to ascribe the tower to Kutubuddin. (23)
Nobody seems to have bothered to ask how massive tombs exist for dead rulers without corresponding luxurious and spacious palaces for the reigning Lodi rulers? (33)
Mumtaz having been married to Shahjahan when the latter was 21 years old shows that she was his umpteenth wife because in Shahjahan’s time children and royal children at that used to be married much before they entered their teens. Having been the umpteenth and one among at least 5,000 wives there was no reason why she should be commemorated in a dreamland monument. (37)
But I believe what we have said above should suffice to prove that the traditional account of Shahjahan having built the Taj Mahal should rank as one of the biggest hoaxes of history. (43)
Endorsing the finding that the Taj Mahal, far from being a 17th century Muslim tomb, is a much ancient Hindu palace, Dr. M. Flagmeier, President of the American Society for Scandinavian and Eastern Studies...wrote in his letter dated December 6, 1965 addressed to the author: “We have long held in contempt the absurd notion that Shahjahan built the Taj Mahal. Your scholarly investigations have bolstered our own theories, and you are to be commended for the clarity with which you have presented this new and refreshing revision of a turbulent chapter of Indian history… (On my visit to the Taj) I was struck by the fact that in spite of certain Mogul superficialities this was NOT a Mogul building. For example the four minarets reminded me of pictures I had seen of Hindu architecture in whc was then known as Rajputana. Also, the octagonal design was definitely of Hindu…origin.” (44-5)
Since the Moguls and other Muslim rulers betrayed a singular weakness for grafting accounts of Rajput glories to their own reigns… (56)
The conclusion that Akbar has been buried in an erstwhile palace makes the origin of other tombs highly suspect because Akbar was the mightiest among all Muslim rulers of India. If even he was not provided an original tomb, how could other Toms, Dicks and Harrys among Moghul rulers have been provided with specially constructed tombs? (57)
The town’s skyline too was made up of numerous gold temple spires, palace towers and beautiful, towering mansions. But today Allahabad presents a bleak appearance containing nothing but shacks, hovels and Victorian or post-Victorian decadent brick tenements. It must not be forgotten that Prayag (Allahabad) is the holiest of holy places in Indian which has been visited by powerful monarchs, wealthy merchants and commoners for generations from time immemorial. To accommodate them there were built in Allahabad countless huge serais, temples, monasteries, mansions and ghats. It was, therefore, that more than any other city Allahabad was razed to the ground. One of those buildings which partly escaped demolition but was later used as a sepulchre, was the so-called Khusru Bagh area. (61)
The inscription on another nearby monument admits that originally a Shiva temple, it was turned into a pleasure resort by Shah Budagh Khan, Governor of Mandu under emperor Akbar. These two instances should be enough to show that others of identical construction falsely ascribed to various Muslim rulers, were built by earlier Rajput rulers.
In such cases the utmost that is conceded by historian and archaeologists of the old school is that the succeeding Muslim rulers may have used Rajput building material and sites. Those academicians would have us believe that the original Rajput temples and palaces were pulled down and rebuilt stone by stone and brick by brick. (68)
As has been observed, earlier Muslim fakirs used to occupy captured and ruined Hindu mansions. When the fakirs died they were buried at the place where they lived. In course of time the site assumed importance as a shrine. (70)
On page 276 of Ain-e-Akbar Vol. 1 edited by Blochmann, Abul Fazl tells the reader, “His Majesty [Akbar] has established a wine shop near the palace… The prostitutes of the realm who collected at the shop could scarcely be counted so large was their number… The dancing girls used to be taken home by the courtiers. If any well known courtier wanted to have a virgin they should first have His Majesty’s permission. In the same way boys prostituted themselves, and drunkenness and ignorance soon led to bloodshed… His Majesty himself called some of the principal prostitutes and asked them WHO HAD DEPRIVED THEM OF THEIR VIRGINITY?”
A pertinent question would be who were these so-called prostitutes? Where from did a whole army of prostitutes suddenly descend in Akbar’s realm like a swarm of locusts? The answer is that these ever-increasing prostitutes were none other than decent Hindu women whose homes were daily raided and plundered and after their menfolk were either massacred or converted they were helplessly left to fend for themselves and were exposed to the mercy of sex-hungry Moghul courtiers. (80-1)
One of the sinister fictions foisted on Indian history is that Akbar’s angelic goodness is proved by his founding of a world order called Din-e-Ilahi. This is a complete perversion of truth. Akbar’s haughtiness and ambition had reached such a pitch that he could not tolerate people doing obeisance to mullahs and priests in the name of religion. Akbar asserted that he was divinity himself—the highest temporal and spiritual authority, and that on no account must people pay respects to any other person. Akbar’s insistence was, therefore, a negation of all religion, and an attempt to appropriate to himself unbridled and unrestrained power over the destinies of men and women.
To that end Akbar compelled his subjects to greet each other with the term “Allahu Akbar,” which interpreted one way meant “God is great” but in the more subtle sense intended by Akbar meant that “Akbar himself is Allah.” (90)
Women in abject misery and sheer desperation subjected to rape, plunder and torture used to approach Akbar as a last resort laying their children at his feet and begging for mercy. Repression in several forms being daily routine, as observed above, there always used to be a crowd of women and children at Akbar’s court gate. But wily nobles interpreted this to the Jesuits at Akbar’s court as their coming to seek Akbar’s blessings as a high priest. “Blessings” they certainly sought, but not in the sense in which it has been cunningly interpreted. The women and children sought some relief from the hellish torture and tyranny let loose on them. (92)
…it is absurd to suggest that the brave Rajputs who preferred mass burning of their women rather than let them fall into the hands of an alien gentry given to extreme drinking, drugging and sex-orgies, felt proud in offering their daughters to Akbar and his kinsman. (102)
Let us take Alberuni. In his case as in that of others throughout mediaeval history, we are told that the accounts that Alberuni has left are the only source of our knowledge of the events he has dealt with. And soon after that we are told that Alberuni had scant regard for truth. (109)
1. That Alberuni’s assertions need to be examined with the utmost caution and discernment because he wrote with an animus against Indians, and that his praise or denunciation varied in direct proportion to the favours he received from others.
2. Secondly, he has made it clear that the invaders who were dazed by the mere river ghats in India could hardly build anything worth the name themselves. This was but natural since all their energies were dissipated in loot, drinking orgies, massacres and destruction of all scholarly records even up to the time of Aurangzeb. (111)
The belief that there is anything like a special Moghul style of painting is unfounded. What is known as the Moghul school of painting is nothing but the same age-old Rajput style of painting continued. The Moghul court and for that matter the courts of all mediaeval alien rulers of India reeked with sodomy, drinking orgies, sexual revelry, eunuchs, plotting and counter-plotting, murders and massacres, and destructive and demolition fury. Even a first standard student would find it impossible to concentrate on his studies in such an atmosphere. One of the greatest tragedies of Indian historical research, having a bearing on world history, is that the sway that Indian Kshatriyas once held all over West Asia has been clean forgotten.
Almost all traces of that sway got obliterated in the destructive fury that seized that part of the world soon after the founding of Islam.
That destructive fury, with its epicentre in Arabia, spreading in a chain of shock-waves, soon engulfed the whole of West Asia, including Afghanistan. All countries suffused by it were made to break away completely from their past.
Encyclopaedias Islamia and Britannica tell us that Arabia itself obliterated all its past history by destroying images and records. We are now told that the 2,500-year history of Arabia before the founding of Islam has been ironically written off as an “age of ignorance” though it was in fact the “wise” successors to that age who chose to remain ignorant by a deliberate breakaway from the past.
