I thought there was a thread on this already. Someone said, "If you laugh you are probably an agnostic religious humanist." *Mriana looks left and then right* I cracked up BIG time with the "Detonation" trailer when Bill said, "Welcome to Bible Country!" and then they showed a big explosion. I laughed because it is soooo true! Check it out- even the Confessional preview is funny, but not as much as the Detonation one.

Religulous Trailers

Well come on down here. I'll say to you, "Welcome to Bible Country!" You'll liable to hear a big explosion afterwards. Not by me though.

BTW, they said "The Garden of Eden was in Missouri" and they aren't native to Missoura. If you're native, you say Missoura. So what do they know? I had to laugh about that too. Guess I am a religious humanist. Too bad I have to wait until it comes out on DVD to see it. :(

In case you have trouble with it loading on Bill's site, here's the preview I thought was a riot:

Sometimes Maher rubs me the wrong way. We all have selective biases, which I don't mind letting out on the table. However, he has a ribald unabashed laconic sense of humor (not sure I am descibing it in the best way), which I do like! If anyone can pull this off he can! All power to him!

I agree! Welcome to Bible Country! BOOM!

Sorry, still laughing over that one, but it seems like such an accurate description. I have to agree though, whatever comes from the Dominionists and alike groups, it will come out of the state of Misery. Mark my words. He wasn't too far off with that one. IF these Evangelicals down here continue trying to raise militant religious children, it will be the new Palestine. That's the only thing that will come from that crap.

I still haven't seen it. None of the theaters in my area have it showing yet.

I saw it online. The first part I almost gave up, but it just got better the further I watched it. I do like that old priest who said people need their fairy tales. He was funny.

I finally saw it was well. It was a good film. I like when "Jesus" asked Maher, "What if you're wrong?", and Maher puts it right back to him. "Jesus" just stands there with a dumb founded look on his face.

I liked the interview with the strange Priest at the Vatican as well.
