In defense of "God", many of those stories are metaphors for annihilating egos...in order to conquer the "promised land" which has nothing to do with Israel but has everything to do with ourselves... but then many of those stories were made up by corrupt Pharisee-like Jewish priests to keep the goyim under control... "God" never commanded the Israelites to sacrifice animals on an altar, to commit incest, or to annihilate every living thing to take over a city, or to take virgins as booty... and yet Bible thumpers have no answers for these things...they dance around these issues like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers lol

There's no way for us to believe God didn't accept incest - how were the children of Adam & Eve ever meant to multiply?
The bible certainly endorses taking women and children as spoils of war and dividing up the virgins and babies:
Num. 31:18-40
Deut. 20:14
II Chron. 28:8
The God of the bible endorses all sorts of sacrifices including both animal & human:
Burning your son as a sacrifice II Kings 3:27
Genesis 22:2 "And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."
Exodus 22:29 "For thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors; the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me."
