After finishing Barbara Walker’s excellent Man Made God, I was thinking about how Womankind might conceivably pool their resources and forge a female-dominated socio-political movement to overthrow the existing, noxious, phallocentric power structures the world suffers under presently. For certainly, the male is not going to voluntarily give over the reigns of power to women!

It seems to me that there are only two ways in which a matrist society may be attempted. The first is for women to seize power violently, through revolution. This would ally women with the absolutely worst traits of those they are trying to supplant, and in addition to being a very bad idea, I don’t see it as being inherent in their nature.

The second, far more logical and peaceable method is for women to align themselves with their sisters, and to leave the male entirely out of their collective decisions and activities. The most important aspect of this agenda, of course, would be the absolute refusal to breed males, or for that matter take care of any males of any age. Without supporting and nurturing males, the patriarchal system would collapse within one or two generations! Think of the awesome power that would give women!

Sadly, many women still feel it is their natural right to breed, and have no problem viewing themselves as mere incubators for men’s babies. Until women decide against furthering the race, and certainly the male gender, no matrifocal revolution is possible.

Thanks!

And thanks for reading Man Made God, which I do believe is a very important work.

I hope others will follow suit - and please do spread the good word of what you've learned and are expressing here.

I haven't read the book, but I thought I'd share something I found a while ago:

In which we betray our gender
